Science in Society
The spheres of science, politics, and society are often perceived as separate, and yet they are closely interlinked and impact one another. Among other things, this is about generating new knowledge in research concerning the major challenges of our time as well as the transfer and integration of scientific findings into politics and society. This is where the Foundation comes in.
With its new support area “Science in Society” – to be launched in 2021 – the Foundation will further develop its role as a catalyst for science on pressing social issues and successful interchange between stakeholders with different expertise and perspectives.
We hope you understand that we are unable to accept any project ideas or applications for support until we have finalized the strategy for this support area.
