“Migration Has to Be a Reason to Show Humanity”

The Covid 19-pandemic has hit migrants around the world particularly hard by exacerbating pre-existing social inequalities and thwarting international mobility through border closures. At the same time, migrants continue to play a critical role in the functioning of societies. This has become especially apparent during the pandemic response, to which migrants contribute as medical scientists, doctors, nurses and other essential workers. We asked migration experts and practitioners from around the world for their hopes for 2021.
