About the project
In November, the Stiftung Kinder forschen (Little Scientists Foundation) and the Robert Bosch Foundation will launch the "Daycare Center-Lab 2023/24" as part of the project " Daycare Center Development: Impulses for practice". In this project, innovative solutions for day care centers will be developed together with representatives from the field. The focus is on team and organizational development in day care centers. The project is a continuation of the previous cooperation project of the two foundations, " Early Childhood Education Development Forum", in which the scientific basis for the topic of day care center development was created.
In co-creation with a diverse team, low-threshold educational offerings are to be created that concretely support day care center teams in initiating and accompanying development processes in their facilities themselves.
How does the project work?
Together with pedagogical experts, day care center managers, consultants and other interested parties from the field of early childhood education, we want to develop, test and revise concrete products within the framework of a design thinking process - until they are ready for everyday use in day care centers. Whether this results in an interactive team calendar, a question fan, a team development clock, a team event, an app or a new method is completely open. We are looking for the best ideas - from practice for practice.
The goal is to develop offerings that support day care teams in the further development of their facility. Participants work together in interdisciplinary teams. Over a period of approximately one year, the project participants will meet four times (digitally and analogously), test the prototypes directly in practice, and incorporate the results directly into further development.
