Dr. Gordian Haas

Gordian is a senior expert in the topic area democracy, with a focus on civic participation. He is motivated by the opportunity to shape tomorrow's democracy through his work. After studying philosophy at the LMU Munich, he completed his doctorate at the University of Konstanz and his habilitation at the University of Bayreuth. Before joining the Foundation, he was a Humboldt Fellow at U.C. Berkeley, worked in the field of deliberative democracy and as an expert for the EU Commission. In addition to his work for the Foundation, Gordian teaches at the universities of Erfurt and Bayreuth.
