Antje Scheidler

As director, Antje is responsible for the Democracy Team in our Global Issues funding area. With her team, she focuses on democratic innovations and participation, inclusive civic spaces and a strong civil society.

After completing her studies in English/American Studies and Social Sciences with stays abroad in Canada and the United States, Antje worked as a researcher at Humboldt University at the Demography Chair. She then worked for the transatlantic education network Humanity in Action in the field of resilient democracy, human rights and remembrance culture. Since 2023, she has been a member of the board of directors of Humanity in Action in Germany.
