Advancement of International Work: Robert Bosch Stiftung Realigns Support Area of "International Relations"

Stuttgart, December 13, 2018. Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH aspires to initiate processes of social change and to make a relevant and effective contribution in its select fields. In the more than 50 years of experience in strengthening international understanding, the Foundation has always adapted its activities to the requirements of the era. Due to the significantly changing international context, the Foundation decided to fundamentally review its programs, to strategically realign its work, and to focus.

“Based on comprehensive studies, we are currently developing potential new focus areas for our work in international relations, as we call this support area in the tradition of Robert Bosch,” explains Sandra Breka, Member of the Board of Management at the Robert Bosch Stiftung and responsible for the field. “In doing so, we rely on the legacy of our founder Robert Bosch, the decades of tradition and experience of our work to date, and our diverse relationships with esteemed partners.”

In preparation for the transition, the Foundation has decided to end its existing projects and programs in the field of international relations. This process will be conducted in a responsible way and in compliance with all contractual obligations. The Foundation currently engages in dialogue with its partners in order to secure joint achievements.

The final decision on the Foundation’s future portfolio will take place in the summer of 2019. The Foundation will redesign its work and the organization accordingly.
