Robert Bosch Stiftung Announces 2018 Funding Budget of over 100 Million Euros
Stuttgart, May 15, 2018. The Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH has earmarked funding of over 100 million euros for its 2018 charity activities, an amount comparable to the previous year’s.
Besides providing funding, the Foundation will use the dividend issued by Robert Bosch GmbH this year to build contingency reserves. For the business year 2017, it received dividend payments amounting to €215.2 million. Last year’s dividend stood at approx. €123,2 million.
Professor Joachim Rogall, President and CEO of the Robert Bosch Stiftung: “Our goal is to maintain our ability to fund projects in the long term, also in economically challenging times. This is why we have decided to keep our 2018 funding budget for projects and subsidiaries on the 2017 level and allocate any dividend payments beyond this amount to the Foundation’s reserves.”
As the principal shareholder, the Robert Bosch Stiftung holds an approx. 92 percent share in Robert Bosch GmbH and receives an annual dividend from the company’s business operations on a pro-rata basis.
