The responsibility of the international community in situations of mobility due to environmental events

Environmental Mobility

As climate impacts and other environmental events are increasingly driving human mobility worldwide, the international community needs to prevent, respond to, and provide solutions for displacement. How can international organizations address these challenges? T. Alexander Aleinikoff and Susan Martin analyze existing arrangements and recommend the set-up of a multi-stakeholder platform, accompanied by a multi-donor trust fund to coordinate the response to environmental mobility globally and support those on the frontlines.
