The Robert Bosch Stiftung is one of the first German foundations to sign the “International Philanthropy Commitment on Climate Change”. This was announced by Ottilie Bälz, Head of Climate Change and Migration, at the German Foundation Day in Leipzig. With this voluntary commitment, philanthropic organizations from all over the world are publicly setting an example for greater engagement in the fight against the climate crisis.

The Robert Bosch Stiftung has been active in the field of climate change since 2020. In its funding, it focuses on contributing to sustainable and climate-resilient land use in Europe and sub-Saharan Africa. By signing the agreement, the Foundation also commits to its goal of becoming more sustainable as an organization and further reducing its own environmental footprint. “We hope that many more foundations will join us in building a strong philanthropic movement for a more sustainable future,” said Ottilie Bälz.
