Africa-Europe relations have increasingly come into focus in recent years. Migration policy plays a central role in political relations between the two continents. To develop new approaches on mobility and development, a strong partnership of equals is needed. However, African perspectives are not adequately represented in international migration discourses. Our aim is to strengthen the African-European dialogue for an equal partnership addressing migration and mobility, to increase the visibility of African perspectives in regional and global migration discourses, and to promote scientific knowledge on migration governance on the African continent.
