Dr. Raphaela Schweiger

Raphaela is the Director of the Migration Program. Her portfolio includes issues of global governance, climate mobility, the relationship between technological change and migration, and the future of refugee and migrant protection. Since joining the Foundation in 2015, she held several roles and has developed numerous programs on migration and inclusion, issues she has also published widely on.
Currently, she serves as the Chair of the European Programme for Integration and Migration (EPIM) and is a 2023 Yale World Fellow. Raphaela holds a doctorate (Dr. phil.) from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and studied political science, law, as well as peace and conflict studies in Munich, Frankfurt am Main and Madrid.
