In Brief

About the project

Vulnerable migrant workers – non-EU nationals who have a precarious work permit or are undocumented workers – are faced with complex challenges in ensuring their labour rights. Moreover, labour migration policies for this group often do not reflect the real needs of workers, employers, or communities, and reproduces inequality. The foundation is providing support for PICUM’s advocacy towards the EU and other institutions on labour rights and labour migration, as well as support to PICUM members that work on labour migration and the rights of migrant workers in different European countries. Longer-term objectives are improved pay and working conditions, access to support, justice, and pathways to regular work for migrant workers, as well as increased solidarity with and organising by migrant workers.
