International IDEA bridges the gap between research, policy making, and democracy assistance as well as informs and mobilizes the democracy community by advancing two critical areas of work:
1. Developing the Global State of Democracy platform, an online democracy platform with a democracy monitor, data, analysis, early warning capability, and policy recommendations including a benchmarking and a “Summit Outcome Tracker” to monitor commitments from the Summit for Democracy
2. Leading a collaborative working coalition (the Global Coalition for Democracy) with diverse civil society organizations and influential partners to produce a virtual Global Forum for Democracy and follow-up activities that give voice to new issues and contribute to shaping the Summit for Democracy.
