Our Partner
At the end of 2024, the Robert Bosch Stiftung launched an open call for proposals for the “Building Power for Economic Justice” grant program. We received nearly 1,000 applications, demonstrating the significant need for support in this area. A jury of experts with professional expertise and personal experience in the field of economic justice helped to design the selection criteria and ultimately selected the grant recipients. The evaluation focused on how the organizations work together to build influence, particularly in the areas of care, technology, wealth, and disability as cross-cutting inequalities. The most compelling applications demonstrated how different forms of disadvantage can be addressed simultaneously and how people can build solidarity across lived experiences of gender, social background, or skin color. In the end, the following eight organizations were selected for multi-year funding:
DaMigra - Dachverband der Migrantinnenorganisation e.V.
DaMigra is an independent umbrella organization representing over 70 migrant women’s organizations across Germany. It advocates for the equal participation of women with migration and refugee backgrounds. At its core, DaMigra focuses on empowerment and actively combats racism, sexism, and social inequality, guided by international human rights conventions. The organization connects and strengthens migrant women’s groups and represents their interests at the federal level in dialogue with policymakers, the media, and society at large.
Fundación Humanidad Tecnologica
Fundación Humanidad Tecnológica develops sustainable technologies to address social challenges in education, health, the environment, and the digital transformation of underserved communities. In Bolivia, the organization supports the digitalization of small businesses in organic coffee farming and green tourism, particularly in the Yungas region. The goal is to use digital tools to improve access to markets, information, and financial services, thereby strengthening economic resilience.
Sociedad y Discapacidad
SODIS is a Peruvian organization that advocates for the rights of people with disabilities. Its work focuses on political advocacy, technical consulting, and research. In close collaboration with people with disabilities and their families, SODIS works to dismantle structural inequalities and develop inclusive policies that enable genuine participation. By building alliances with other social movements, the organization addresses shared challenges such as care work and social inequality in a spirit of solidarity. The goal: people with disabilities should have a say in setting political priorities and be actively involved in their implementation.
StreetNet International
StreetNet International is a global alliance of women workers in the informal economy, active in over 50 countries. The organization supports street and market vendors in building democratic and self-determined structures. These vendors often face violence, poor working conditions, and a lack of legal recognition—threatening their livelihoods. StreetNet advocates for their social protection, legal reforms, and digital inclusion, while promoting values such as democracy, gender justice, and solidarity.
Whose Knowledge?
Whose Knowledge? is a global, multilingual campaign that connects movements for technology and knowledge justice. Its goal is to amplify the voices and knowledge of people who are often overlooked or excluded. The campaign challenges the power of large tech and knowledge corporations and advocates for an internet rooted in justice, solidarity, and the public good. After years of building digital infrastructure in collaboration with communities, Whose Knowledge? is now shifting to support community-led projects as alternatives to dominant digital power structures.
Women on Farms Project
The Women on Farms Project (WFP) is a feminist NGO supporting women farm workers and dwellers in South Africa. The project empowers marginalized farmwomen to know and claim their rights, organize collectively, and hold power structures accountable. It also fosters leadership, solidarity, and long-term change by building connections between South African and migrant women to challenge xenophobia and systemic inequality.
