About the project

The Mixed Migration Review is the annual report of the Mixed Migration Centre. The report offers a deep analytical dive into the world of mixed migration, using the mixed migration lens to offer a critical framework to understand and respond to the complex characteristics and protection imperatives that defines contemporary human mobility. The report features a large body of MMC’s 4Mi data and aims to contribute to an evidence-based and differentiated understanding of mixed migration movements. The 2021 edition re-visits and re-appraises mixed migration through the lens of different themes. It considers the impact of new geopolitical emergencies, new public health threats, and new levels of environmental stress, amongst others, to assess current and future trends in the movement of people. And it gives voice to people with lived experiences and young researchers from the Global South, complementing essays of and interviews with experts and thought leaders.
