International Alumni Center

The International Alumni Center iac Berlin was founded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung to support the development of alumni communities and networks in philanthropy. It designs learning spaces, disseminates knowledge, and develops methods and tools. The iac Berlin advises foundations and other non-profit organizations in their alumni work and cooperative approaches and offers practical support in the design of impact-oriented networks.

The iac Berlin coordinates the Bosch Alumni Network, which connects (former) grantees and employees of the Robert Bosch Stiftung and its partners across program and thematic boundaries. Through a variety of activities, the global community tackles current challenges to create and inspire equal and sustainable ways of living and working together.

The iac Berlin hosts Foundations for Ukraine (F4U) during its incubation phase. F4U is a global network of philanthropic organizations united in their commitment to supporting Ukraine. Through strategic collaboration, knowledge sharing, and advocacy, members strengthen their collective impact in addressing Ukraine’s immediate needs and contributing to its long-term recovery.

In Europe, iac Berlin serves a dual function for the Democracy & Belonging Forum: as the implementing organization and as a strategic partner. The Democracy & Belonging Forum is the first program of the Othering & Belonging Institute (OBI) to be established outside the United States. OBI is a think-and-do tank based at the University of California, Berkeley, dedicated to fostering a society in which all individuals belong and exclusion is actively countered.
