UN Climate Change Conference COP27

How people across African countries are fighting climate crisis

When the UN Climate Change Conference COP27 takes place in Egypt, the focus will be on the African continent, which is one of the hardest hit by climate change. In this dossier, climate activists tell us what gives them hope. We report on how people in the Sahel are fighting land degradation and how international funds can reach the people who really need them. These people show us how it can be done: how to survive (and strive) in the era of climate change.
