TMG Research in collaboration with the Robert Bosch Stiftung presents a new publication with key insights into how net-zero commitments and land-based climate solutions — such as afforestation, carbon markets, and ecosystem restoration — are reshaping global land demand. This demand profoundly impacts the lives and rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities.
We will discuss how rising land pressure — driven by climate goals — is often concentrated in regions with weak tenure systems, putting communities and ecosystems at risk.
At the launch event, we will officially unveil the publication and open a space for critical dialogue on the pathways to a more just transition. Through storytelling, expert presentations, and a dynamic panel discussion, we will explore how climate action can — and must — align with responsible land governance and human rights.
A simultaneous translation English/German will be available.
