Agora Agriculture is the latest member of the “family of Agora think tanks”, which focus on the energy transition, the mobility transition and industry, adding land use to the spectrum of topics covered. Funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung in cooperation with other European foundations, Agora Agriculture follows the “Agora method”, using dialog formats and strategic communication based on current research to bring about the social consensus and political will required to implement the reforms necessary in the areas of food, agriculture and forestry. One central topic in this context is the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in line with the objectives of the European Union’s “Green Deal”, and the just transition of land use. Since Europe’s agricultural and food system is embedded in global value chains, considering the global impacts of such a transition forms an equally important part of Agora Agriculture’s work.
