Today, daycare centers can increasingly be compared to small and medium-sized enterprises. They are facing changing social trends as well as new pedagogical requirements that entail a need for change. But how do daycare centers themselves and the funding institutions manage such development processes? How do education professionals handle the constant flow of new expectations and challenges? So far, no systematic findings for these issues are available. In real life, however, there are daycare centers that have completed development processes successfully and are willing to share their experience and knowledge with others. Developed jointly by the University of Heidelberg, the University of Hildesheim, and the Robert Bosch Stiftung, this handbook is the first of its kind to present case studies. It makes successful organizational development processes visible and applicable for the benefit of institutions, support services, and daycare center administrators, as well as trainers in professional and further education. The handbook was published by Universitätsverlag Hildesheim and is available free of charge.
