Nuria works with local peace actors, primarily in the Sahel countries in West Africa, on conflict transformation and sustainable peace in the region. Previously, she led a project at a research institute advising African partners on weapons management for the German Federal Foreign Office and supported regional organizations at GIZ in West and East Africa in building and developing an African peace and security architecture. Nuria studied political science with a focus on international relations and African studies at the University of Leipzig and SOAS in London.
