Patients need to take action and responsibility for themselves when it comes to overcoming the challenges of chronic conditions. We want to help patients do this and enable them to tackle problems in their daily lives without relying solely on the health care staff.
Our goal is to support patients with chronic diseases, to help them develop the skills necessary for dealing with challenges related to their illness and to enable them to take action and responsibility for themselves.
We promote approaches that help patients with chronic diseases to improve their health literacy and self-management. Additionally, we advocate a stronger awareness for the significance of health literacy, both within the health system and the general public.
