About the project
The "Youth - Coaches - STRENGTHS" project focuses on the key role of youth coaches as role models. It aims to strengthen the democratic coexistence within the clubs by training the coaches in topics such as racism, conflict management, and intercultural skills as well as by initiating joint club activities. In the pilot project, eight professional soccer clubs from Germany’s first and second national leagues cooperate with at least four amateur clubs each in their respective regions. "Youth - Coaches - STRENGTHS" is supported by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and run by the German soccer association’s DFL Foundation and Bundesarbeitskreis Arbeit & Leben, the continuing education institute of the German unions and community colleges.
