Impressions of the projects
In the "Volunteering on Wheels" project, young volunteers from several EU countries cycled through French villages together and took part in social projects together with the residents. The project took place in 2018.
During the four-day convention in Germany, martial artists came together to exchange training experiences with and for children with disabilities. The project "Carvalho Convention 2017" was carried out with partners from Germany, France and Sweden.
Final presentation of a music- and rhythm workshop in Kassel. The project “Changes (Art, Freedom & Migration)” was funded in 2017.
The project "Système-D - Palaver Platz, my environment, my engagement" creates recycled alternatives to plastic bags: chic jute bags were sewn from old curtain fabrics, batiked and painted with the Système-D logo. The project was organized by partners from Germany, France, the Netherlands and Senegal and funded in 2015.
Participants of the shepherd's wagon tour during the joint construction of the mobile meeting room in the industrial museum in Lauf. The project "One shepherd's wagon for all! Generations and cultures comfortably united at the wood-burning stove" of the Rêvothèque association in France with partners in Germany and Great Britain was supported in 2017.
Twice a year, the dfi invited representatives of the sponsored projects to the seminar. Getting to know each other, exchanging experiences and discovering new things together were the focal points of these meetings. To be seen here during a communication exercise in Otzenhausen in June 2018.
About the Project
Europe is made up of more than just regulations and institutions; it is first and foremost a network of people and their interactions with each other. The aim of the Ideas Prize “On y va - auf geht's - let's go!” is to build on these connections. Together with the Deutsch-Französisches Institut Ludwigsburg (dfi) we support civil and social engagement in Europe. Whether through culture, education, welfare, health, the environment, or sport, we want to bring together enthusiastic EU citizens from diverse backgrounds and support them to realise charitable projects across Europe’s borders.
Under the motto “On y va - auf geht's - let's go!” we are supporting projects which bring together participants from Germany, France and at least one other EU country. In doing so the participants have the opportunity to realize their projects on an international scale and become part of a wider network of committed European citizens.
