The Robert Bosch Stiftung has been active in Southeast Asia since 2015. The region is facing major challenges, including the rapid population growth in cities and the noticeable effects of climate change. The involvement of the public is a crucial element in responding to these challenges. In six projects to date in Indonesia and Vietnam, we support people who want to play an active role in shaping their environment. Our aim is to enable these young people to make their voices heard and to realize their project ideas. Most importantly, we want to strengthen local projects and support actors in implementing projects that have a positive impact on their environment. To this end, we support projects on various topics such as climate change, social tolerance, and sustainable urban development. In doing so, we take great care to choose projects from different parts of the country, and thus also to strengthen actors outside the well-known urban centers.
