Health Experts Share Their Experiences
Alongside the People with Dementia in Hospitals program, the Robert Bosch Stiftung is funding a total of three study trips to international facilities that serve as beacons in the treatment of people with dementia. The trips will be held between 2016 and 2018.
The program is aimed at health-care professionals who help treat people with dementia in acute care hospitals or who are responsible for such patients. Each trip takes participants to a country relevant to the topic and includes not only visits to exemplary facilities but also a dialog with the guide and local experts. Participants pay 30 percent of the costs themselves, and the trips are available free of charge to employees of hospitals supported by the Robert Bosch Stiftung as part of the People with Dementia in Hospitals program. Alongside the financial support, the trips also include preparatory and follow-up seminars to help participants process their experiences and promote expert discussion between them once the trip has ended.
By funding these study trips, we aim to help hospitals in Germany implement innovative, patient-focused concepts for the treatment of people with dementia and provide impetus for change.
