The Indian NGO sector is in a state of rapid change. New forms of philanthropy, new technical challenges and, in some cases, drastically increased funding require a greater commitment to capacity-building for Indian NGOs and social businesses. The Social Impact Leadership Program supported by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and run by the Mumbai-based partner organization Dasra tries to fill this gap. It aims to strengthen and professionalize civil society actors in India by providing a special training to NGO leaders and managers as well as social entrepreneurs. They get equipped with the necessary skills to effectively develop and manage their organizations, expand their networks, and connect with potential funders.
