The Hub for Democratic Culture

A firmly embedded, lived experience of a culture of democracy is the cornerstone for legitimate democracy. This is something that also needs to be strengthened beyond Germany. The Hub for Democratic Culture aims to build a decentralized platform of stakeholders from politics, civil society, media, business, and academia across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in order to create synergies for strengthening democratic culture. The Hub will initially be given support for a one-year co-creative incubation period. The group of those supporting the project includes the Robert Bosch Stiftung, Stiftung Mercator Germany, Stiftung Mercator Switzerland, ERSTE Foundation, and the European Forum Alpbach. The International Alumni Center will coordinate the incubation period.
