In brief

About the project

Studies show that the experience gained during international exchange programs shapes personal development and lives of young people. Besides the improvement of language skills, the exchange programs have a positive effect on the development of intercultural skills and on future career prospects. This is in the forefront of the “German-Turkish School Exchange Program”, which enables students and teachers from Turkey and Germany to get to know each other’s country and establish new contacts and friendships. The program offers its participants a current and differentiated image of both countries. The exchange contributes to reducing existing stereotypes and prejudices, developing intercultural skills as well as establishing long-lasting relations. The program leads to establishing new and strengthening existing school partnerships.
