In brief

About the project

How can we successfully stimulate dialogue in times of crisis when differences in political opinion seem irreconcilable? The Competence Center “Crisis-Dialogue-Future” rises to this challenge with both theoretical and practical solutions. Offering advanced training courses, seminars, advisory and support services, the Competence Center is aimed at municipal authorities and other state agencies as well as civil society actors, who want to use dialogue to boost social cohesion. The project seeks to raise awareness and empower administrative institutions and civil society to counteract local crises in a preventive and de-escalating manner with tailored options for improving dialogue and civic participation. Additionally, it aims to provide comprehensive support to these organizations in doing so. As of 2021, the project is funded for a period of three years by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Saxon State Agency for Civic Education (as part of the federal program “Demokratie leben!”).
