Uta-Micaela Dürig Named as New Chief Executive Officer of the Robert Bosch Stiftung
Stuttgart, July 1, 2015 – Starting today, Uta-Micaela Dürig will be leading the Robert Bosch Stiftung together with Prof. Dr. Joachim Rogall. Dürig is following Dr. Ingrid Hamm, who has stepped down from the helm of the Foundation after having reached the retirement age.
Dürig, a communication scientist and trained newspaper editor, has been Head of Global Corporate Communication, Brand Management, and Sustainability at technology company Robert Bosch GmbH since January 2004. She has spent the past few months familiarizing herself with the Foundation’s contacts at home and abroad and has already managed a project designed to combat youth unemployment in Europe.
Over the next few years, Dürig (who was born in 1964) will focus on refugees and asylum, digitalization, and international relations in the Asia-Pacific region and North America. In addition, her remit will also include education, peace, social transformation, and Africa.
The Robert Bosch Stiftung employees some 140 people, who handle 800 internal and external projects a year. Since its founding, the Robert Bosch Stiftung has made more than 1.2 billion euros available for charitable projects.
