Experiencing the Meaning of Europe

Many young people from the Western Balkans have never been abroad, they only know their neighboring countries and the EU from recounts. With the program "Travel to Europe", they get to know Europe first-hand - abstract ideas about European social cohesion become personal experiences.

"I could see the doors of whole Europe opening for me," says Xheni Lame about her participation in "Travel to Europe". The Albanian is one of 113 students from the Western Balkans who got to travel through the European Union for the first time with the program of the Robert Bosch Stiftung. Participants traveled for about four weeks this summer.

In the interactive map the students share their nicest photos and experiences. They talk about special encounters, abandoned prejudices, and their plans after their journey.
