Innovative Approaches to Help Refugees Integrate and Take Part in Society

The integration of refugees in Germany and Europe continues to dominate public debate. Politics, society as well as the economy are faced with multiple challenges. Through a variety of projects Robert Bosch Stiftung shows how new approaches can be used to strengthen social cohesion and allow refugees to participate in society, education, and culture.

With our work we are aiming at:
  • the strengthening of volunteer work for and with refugees
  • encouraging refugees to participate in society
  • promoting the openness of society for a positive attitude towards refugees
  • developing recommendations and strategies for decision-makers

Enabling the access of refugees to all social sectors and giving them the chance to become equal members of society is very important. Model projects show how diverse means of inclusion can be experienced, for example through access to good education, guidance from volunteer mentors, or new models for living together within communities.
