International Relations

International Civil Society

Das Thema Internationale Zivilgesellschaft in der Robert Bosch Stiftung
True to Robert Bosch’s philosophy, one of our main concerns is the transnational networking and strengthening of civil society worldwide. Our projects contribute to the international exchange of experiences and to spreading successful ideas. This way, we promote civic commitment across national, cultural, and other borders.
We motivate and enable young people in particular to realize their project ideas, assume responsibility, and help shape society. At the same time, we aim to professionalize civic commitment and increase its impact.

To meet the demands of the transformation of civil societies under ever-changing conditions, we continuously develop and adapt our offerings and strive to build contacts with new players. Changemakers – people who meet social challenges with innovative solutions – are a key partner and target group.
Providing financial support as well as non-monetary assistance in the form of workshops, networking, studies, and consulting services, we support NGOs, social entrepreneurs, and citizens’ initiatives as well as the trans-sectoral exchange between representatives of society, business, and politics.
We can presently observe a constriction of the scope of action for civil society in many places around the world where people are prevented from exercising their societal commitment. This is why our support is especially geared toward those people and organizations who work to maintain and foster the cause of an open and social society within difficult environments.
We are active in the following projects
ChangemakerXchange
