Dementia

Demenz
Dementia presents our demographically changed society with particular challenges. More than one million people suffer from this condition, with memory loss as the main symptom and as yet no real possibility of a cure. For around 12 years, our support has therefore been focused on finding the best way of dealing with the illness and helping those affected and their families in their "life with dementia."
After providing long-term support for civic and municipal initiatives, we are currently concentrating our activities on better care for patients with dementia as a secondary diagnosis at acute-care hospitals.
In addition, we focus on promoting training measures and participate actively in European networking in regard to the challenges presented by dementia.
We are active in the following projects
People with Dementia in Hospitals
