Cultural Participation

Kultur
We are convinced that experiencing culture and your own artistic creativity is an important building block for personal development. In particular, we want to help children discover their passion for culture at an early age and support selected programs that enable young people to take part in culture.
We also want to help cultural institutions redefine their role in a changing society, become a reflection of diversity, and tap into new target groups. We are interested in the changes to content and structures that are necessary for this, and accompany cultural institutions in the development and implementation of the corresponding concepts.
With our Adelbert von Chamisso Prize, we recognize outstanding German-language authors whose works are characterized by a cultural transformation in order to make the complexity and diversity more visible and something that people can experience.
As part of our supplementary Chamisso support activities, schools, literature festivals, and event organizers can apply for support for appearances by Adelbert von Chamisso Prize award winners in order to hold readings, writing workshops, and discussions.
