Brief Résumé Prof. Dr. Joachim Rogall
Prof. Dr. Joachim Rogall has been Executive Director of the Stuttgart-based Robert Bosch Stiftung since April 1, 2013, and the Foundation’s President and CEO since September 1, 2017. He studied Eastern European History, Slavic Philology, and German Language and Literature at the universities of Mainz/Germany, Posen/Poland, and Heidelberg/Germany. He graduated with a PhD from Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz in 1988, and received his postdoctoral lecturing qualification in 2000. Between 1988 and 1996, he worked as a research and teaching fellow at the University of Mainz and the Johann Gottfried Herder Institute in Marburg/Lahn. He joined the Robert Bosch Stiftung on April 1, 1996.

Since 2003, he has been an Adjunct Professor for Eastern European History at the University of Heidelberg.

Uta-Micaela Dürig

Brief Résumé Uta-Micaela Dürig
Uta-Micaela Dürig (born 1964) is Deputy Chair of the Board of Management at the Robert Bosch Stiftung. As of September 1, 2017 she is responsible for the four topic areas health, science, society and education. She is also responsible for the project "Education Sub-Saharan Africa" (ESSA).

Since 2004, Uta-Micaela Dürig was responsible for the Bosch Group's global corporate communications, brand management and sustainability department. At the same time she was responsible for the establishment of some of the Bosch CSR institutes.

After graduating from high school, she completed a classic course of training as a newspaper journalist. At the same time, she studied at the Institute of Communication Theory of the Free University of Berlin and graduated in 1992. After holding several positions at daily newspapers, Ms. Dürig worked for the government of Berlin since 1990 as well as more than 20 years in leading positions of major companies. Later on, she was in charge of corporate communications/marketing communications for companies such as ABB AG and RWE AG.

Ms. Dürig has several publications to her name, and has taught international communication management and public relations at various journalism schools and universities since 1996.

She inter alia is a co-founder of the Academic Society for Corporate Management and Communication in Leipzig and a member of the advisory board of Berlin's Quadriga University of Applied Sciences for Communication, Leadership, and Public Affairs, Fresenius University, Munich, member of the board of trustees of Caritas Stuttgart and Bürgerstiftung Stuttgart, member of the board of trustees of Deutsches Museum in Munich and member of the supervisory board of LBBW Bank, Stuttgart.

Sandra Breka

Brief Résumé Sandra Breka
Sandra Breka was appointed to the Board of Management of the Robert Bosch Stiftung in September 2017. Her portfolio includes the Foundation’s departments of international relations, the program and liaison work in Berlin as well as the Robert Bosch Academy, a multilateral and interdisciplinary think tank.

Since joining the Robert Bosch Stiftung in 2001, she has been responsible for a wide range of international programs of the Foundation, the establishment of the Robert Bosch Academy, the liaison with public and private partners in Berlin as well as the Foundation’s Berlin Representative Office, most recently as Senior Vice President since April 2013.

An expert in international relations as well as foreign and security policy, Sandra Breka previously served as Program Director at the Aspen Institute Berlin after an assignment with the American Council on Germany in New York. After studies in Germany, France and the United States, she obtained her M.A. at Columbia University in New York. She was a Yale World Fellow in 2008.

Sandra Breka is a Member of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) and serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the European Endowment for Democracy (EED) among others.

Dr. Hans-Werner Cieslik

Brief Résumé Dr. Hans-Werner Cieslik
Dr. Hans-Werner Cieslik is Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH, Stuttgart. He is in charge of law/compliance, finance, controlling, organization, and IT, as well as the Robert Bosch Hospital and the medical research institutes.

Dr. Cieslik studied law in Germany, France, and Switzerland. After his German bar exam, he began working as an in-house attorney in the head office of Robert Bosch GmbH in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1990. He completed his PhD in Law in 1992.

From 1999 to 2003, he served as CEO of Robert Bosch AG in Zurich, Switzerland and became Vice President for Mergers & Acquisitions in the head office of Robert Bosch GmbH in 2004. In 2009, Dr. Cieslik joined the Board of Management of Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH.

Dr. Cieslik is married with two children.
