3eshra: Gender Equality Community of Practice Supporting Tunisia's Changing Society

In Tunisia, a large number of public, civil, scientific, and international stakeholders are committed to promoting gender equality. However, these activists do not have a comprehensive network available that would allow them to link their individual activities and approaches, or share information and contacts. Especially among equality advocates in the capital and their counterparts in rural areas, there is hardly any exchange of information and very little cooperation.

The 3eshra project hopes to change this: Ten Fellows are currently helping to create local, regional, and national networks on gender equality, called Communities of Practice, right across the country. These networks will allow all parties involved to exchange experiences and coordinate their activities, with the respective initiatives and projects presented online. Presentation of the network, select projects, and many of the committed participants to the public is planned for a conference in Tunis in late 2018.

The Gender Equality Community of Practice is a project in collaboration and partnership with the Maghreb Economic Forum (MEF) and the Robert Bosch Stiftung. Additionally, it is supported by an Advisory Board.
