Cooperation in the arts promotes cultural understanding
European culture established big shared traditions and epochs across borders and over many centuries. We are convinced that artistic cooperation between people from different cultural and language backgrounds in Germany and Europe is an important tool for improving mutual understanding. Especially literature always responded to the different and the new. This is why we support contributions from writers of different nations and cultures and want to wake enthusiasm for language and literature among young people from different backgrounds. We support artistic exchange and cooperation between German and East as well Southeast European junior filmmakers with our own co-production prize.
