FAQs

1. How do I find current vacancies that I can apply for?
All of our vacant positions are listed on our careers site. You can apply for these positions until the deadline indicated.
2. When will the successful candidate start?
Generally speaking, a desired start date is indicated for each vacancy. We are aware, however, that many applicants are currently employed and therefore not available immediately. This is not a barrier to applying. We are interested, first and foremost, in your professional and personal suitability. Please indicate your earliest possible start date in your application.
3. Are the positions advertised on your careers site still vacant?
All of the positions on our careers site are currently vacant and we are accepting applications for all such positions.
4. Who should I contact if I have specific questions about an ad?
First of all, please see whether your question has been answered in our FAQs section or on our website. If not, please feel free to contact us at karriere@bosch-stiftung.de or give us a call.
1. How is the application process structured at the Robert Bosch Stiftung?
2. How do I know that my application has been received?
If you have sent your application via the applicant website, you will receive an e-mail confirming its receipt within a few minutes (please also check your spam folder). If you have not received a confirmation e-mail, please contact us at karriere@bosch-stiftung.de.
3. How long will it take before I receive a response to my application?
We aim to process applications in a timely fashion. Nevertheless, there may be delays if a large number of applications is received. Generally speaking, a decision in the selection process is reached between four and six weeks after the application deadline. You may receive an update on the current status of your application.
4. How can I find out about the status of my application?
We will get in touch with you as soon as we have any news about the status of your application. Please be patient and wait for us to get in contact (either by phone or e-mail) about your application. We do, however, understand that you may wish to check the status of your application while you wait. You can therefore view the status of your application at any time via the “My applications” section of the applicant website. We kindly ask you to avoid inquiring about the status of your application by telephone unless absolutely necessary.
5. What selection criteria are especially important when choosing candidates?
Prior to advertising a position, we work with the specialist area/department concerned to draw up requirements for the position to be filled (educational background, specialist knowledge, experience, personal characteristics, etc.). The requirements for a specific position are listed in the ad for that position. During the screening of applications, each and every application is checked individually by our applicant management team to determine whether it meets the requirements profile. We perform no electronic prescreening. Please note that complete applications are essential for this screening process.
1. How can I apply for current vacancies?
In order to be able to process applications quickly and efficiently we only accept those submitted via our applicant website. Please understand that we do not accept applications submitted by mail or e-mail.
2. To whom should I address my application?
Please consult our website to find the right contact person. The person to contact depends on the nature of the position (e.g. guest study placement, project manager, student intern). If there is any ambiguity concerning the person to contact, please feel free to address your cover letter to the HR department in general.
3. How can I submit a speculative application to the Robert Bosch Stiftung?
Please understand that we do not accept speculative applications. You can view all vacant positions on our website and apply directly via our applicant site.
4. I am interested in multiple positions at the Robert Bosch Stiftung. How do I apply in this instance?
If you are interested in more than one position, we kindly ask you to submit a separate application for each one, as this enables us to process your applications more quickly and efficiently.
5. Can I apply again to the Robert Bosch Stiftung even if I have previously been rejected?
A rejection only relates to a specific position. Due to the high number of applications we receive, the decision sometimes comes down to minor factors. A new application may therefore have every chance of success.
