Migration Policy Forum - MPF

Twice a year, the Migration Policy Forum (MPF) provides a platform for in-depth discussions on German and European laws concerning aliens, asylum, and nationality, with not only politicians and scientists among the participants, but people with practical experience in the field as well. In this specialist legal forum, members of parliament, ministerial officials, (federal) judges, scientists, and representatives of NGOs explore current issues related to legal policy in an informal atmosphere.

The meetings, which are attended by up to 70 people, are held roughly every six months at the Berlin Office of the Robert Bosch Stiftung. The discussions, which take their cue from talks held by various speakers, raise awareness of problems, develop potential solutions, and give plenty of food for thought. The MPF therefore aims to contribute to sustainable, balanced, and knowledge-based policy development in the area of migration law.

The MPF is organized by the Research Centre Immigration & Asylum Law at the University of Konstanz and has been supported by the Robert Bosch Stiftung since 2012.
