New Partnership with the Brookings Institution

Robert Bosch Senior Fellowship being established

The Robert Bosch Stiftung has entered into a partnership with the Brookings Institution, a renowned American think tank. The influential, independent public policy organization, headquartered in Washington D.C., draws up political analyses and expert reports for American political decision makers. Brookings presents the results of its research to the American public at events, in publications, and in guest contributions to leading media outlets. The Brookings Institution has placed a new focus on Germany, with the goal being to increase understanding in the United States of Germany’s politics and society. The Robert Bosch Stiftung has promoted German-American relations since the early 1980s, particularly through exchange programs for aspiring young political, business, and media leaders.

The first step in the partnership will be to establish a Robert Bosch Senior Fellowship at the Brookings Institution. The Robert Bosch Senior Fellow will explore Germany’s role in Europe and its influence on European politics and business. Through publications and at events, the fellow will give American decision makers and the general public a better understanding of economic, social, and domestic policy trends in Germany and Europe as well as German views on the relationship between the two countries.

Applications for the position are due by February 16, 2014.
