Changes in Management at the Robert Bosch Stiftung

Stuttgart, June 27, 2014 – At the Robert Bosch Stiftung partners’ meeting held in Stuttgart on June 27, 2014, the partners agreed to appoint Uta-Micaela Dürig CEO of the Robert Bosch Stiftung with effect on July 1, 2015. Uta-Micaela Dürig, who since January 2004 has been working as Head of Global Corporate Communication, Brand Management, and Sustainability at Robert Bosch GmbH, will be replacing Dr. Ingrid Hamm, who has reached the age limit and will be retiring from her management position on June 30, 2015, after twelve years in top management.

Uta-Micaela Dürig will begin familiarizing herself with the national and international Foundation contacts on October 1, 2014. On January 1, 2015, she will assume responsibility for a project designed to combat unemployment among young people in Europe, which was launched in 2013 by Robert Bosch GmbH and the Robert Bosch Stiftung.

Uta-Micaela Dürig has a network of national and international contacts and, because she has been in charge of sustainability for such a long time, is also well versed in social issues. This experience will prove to be highly valuable when she as CEO pursues the mutual goals of the Robert Bosch Stiftung in the future.

After retiring from her management position, Ingrid Hamm will continue supporting the work of the Foundation for two years, offering her consulting services based on the experience of more than 25 years in foundation management. In particular, she will be playing a role in the expansion of the German School Award Academy in Berlin. The Academy is the Robert Bosch Stiftung’s strategically most important educational project that Hamm has cultivated for the Foundation in the past eight years, as well as the result of the ongoing development of the School Award competition.
