The New Berlin Representative Office

Daniel Barenboim and Anne-Marie Slaughter both spoke at the office’s opening ceremony

Only a few steps away from Gendarmenmarkt and the State Opera House on Unter den Linden: The Robert Bosch Stiftung has a new representative office in Berlin-Mitte (center). Around 200 guests attended the opening ceremony at Französische Strasse 32, the slogan of which was "We are coming to your center."

Maestro Daniel Barenboim, musical director of the State Opera House on Unter den Linden in Berlin and founder of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, gave the opening address. Anne-Marie Slaughter, professor at Princeton University, held a guest lecture entitled "Do It Youself Foreign Policy: Public-Private Partnerships in the 21st Century."

In the future, most of the Robert Bosch Stiftung’s events in Berlin will be held at the new location. In addition, the building also houses the offices of the Stiftung’s Berlin-based employees. Furthermore, the Richard von Weizsäcker Fellows will also have their headquarters here. This multilateral and interdisciplinary program invites renowned experts to visit Germany for stays lasting anywhere from two to twelve months. The new office in Berlin-Mitte means that the Stiftung now has excellent access to the capital city’s decision-makers and institutions.
