Application Information
Projects should have a practical and regional focus. Projects are eligible if they
- run for an extended period (no one-off events such as cultural evenings);
- help young migrants and their families to participate actively in the community, school, or association and take on civic responsibility;
- support young people in learning German;
- enable migrants' organizations to improve their integration work;
- strengthen cooperation between migrants and associations, schools, and other local institutions;
- showcase the achievements of young migrants.
Such projects may include parent-child projects in kindergartens, language and learning partnerships between older and younger students, new activities organized by young people in youth clubs, the inclusion of young people in volunteer visiting services, and the introduction of suitable ways in which young migrants can participate in communal processes.
One of the prerequisites for support is that migrants are actively involved in the planning and implementation of the project program.
Special consideration will be given to projects that
- are implemented jointly by local people and migrants (including migrants from different backgrounds);
- include voluntary work;
- involve the parents of young migrants in their activities.
Knowledge disseminator projects and trans-regional initiatives can be funded if they are clearly aimed at practical results.
Support cannot be awarded for general work in an association, individual assistance for needy persons, or for bridging gaps in financing arising from cuts in public funding.
Eligibility
Organizations like action groups, civic offices, associations, schools, day care centers and parishes are eligible to apply for funding. Applications from migrant-run organizations are especially welcome. Applications can also be submitted in cooperation with partners.
Value of funding
The Robert Bosch Stiftung awards funding of up to € 5,000 for a period of up to two years.
