International Networker: Summer School for Online and Multimedia Journalism

Summer School for Online and Multimedia Journalism

In cooperation with the Deutsche Journalistenschule, the Robert Bosch Stiftung organizes a one-week summer school for young online-journalists from Germany, Southeast Europe and Hungary. Guided by qualified trainers, the participants of the Summer School create a multimedia website in a young international team on a topic they selected themselves. The participants with different backgrounds contribute their experiences and ideas to topics with European relevance. They will work together to produce a multimedia website, and will enjoy intercommunication and new contacts, all of which result in new perspectives and the possibility to belong to an international network - the basis for future international cooperation. The participants will have the opportunity to gain further qualifications in online/multimedia journalism and to acquire insights into the mindset, views and problems of colleagues from 12 different countries.

This announcement is targeted at young professional journalists from Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey with experience in online journalism. Applicants should be able to provide proof of at least two years of professional experience. Good English skills are required. The grant covers the costs of travel and accommodation, meals and work materials.

The summer school took place at "Deutsche Journalistenschule" in Munich from August 1 to August 11, 2015. This year's topic was: "Stories of the Future - the Future of Storytelling". The application period ended on May 1, 2015.
