Joachim Rogall is New Executive Director of the Robert Bosch Stiftung

Stuttgart, Germany, April 2 - Professor Joachim Rogall has been managing the activities of the Robert Bosch Stiftung together with Dr. Ingrid Hamm since the beginning of the month. Dieter Berg, who headed the Foundation as the Chairman of the Board of Management from 2003, went into retirement at the end of March, having reached the age limit. The shareholders’ meeting of the Robert Bosch Stiftung already decided to appoint Joachim Rogall to the management in July 2012.

53-year-old Rogall, who is a qualified professor of history, has been with the Robert Bosch Stiftung since 1996, most recently serving as the head of its program area International Relations Central and Southeastern Europe, CIS, China. He is also a non-tenured professor for the seminar in Eastern European history at Heidelberg University.

Joachim Rogall intends to take international relations in a new direction, placing a particular focus on European integration. "We need to develop and achieve a positive vision of a united Europe, so that Europe becomes a matter close to its citizens’ hearts," says Professor Joachim Rogall.

The Robert Bosch Stiftung has approximately 130 employees, who manage 800 projects of the Foundation and of other organizations every year. In total, the Robert Bosch Stiftung has provided funds of more than a billion euros for charitable projects since it was founded.
