Information about the Competition
Die Ausschreibung für den Journalistenpreis Bürgerschaftliches Engagement/Marion-Dönhoff-Förderpreis 2011 ist beendet. Einsendeschluss war der 17. August 2011.
Aims
With these awards, the Robert Bosch Stiftung is honoring authors of outstanding media reports on the topic of “civic involvement” as well as emphasizing the importance of civic involvement to the future of our society. Journalists will be honored whose reporting has played a vital role in increasing the public’s awareness and appreciation of civic initiatives for the common good. The awards are given for reports and articles that are exemplary and, if necessary, critical, and examine how and why people voluntarily assume responsibility for themselves and others.
Prizes
The "Journalistenpreis Bürgerschaftliches Engagement" will be awarded in the categories print, television, and radio (10,000 euros each). Young journalists up to 30 years of age will simultaneously be entered in the competition for the Marion-Dönhoff-Förderpreis (5,000 euros).
The Media
Reports and articles from the following mass media can be submitted:
- Print - articles from German-language newspapers and magazines
- Radio - reports in German, published by public or private radio stations
- Television - reports in German, published by public or private TV channels
Moreover, German-language articles that were published on the website of a newspaper, radio station, or TV channel can be submitted. Articels from corporate publications are excluded from the competition.
Jury
The prize winners are selected by an independent jury of journalists and experts on voluntary work.
