Objectives and Target Groups of the Foundation

• Counseling and information;
• Negotiating contacts for project partnerships;
• Training youth group leaders and teachers for exchange programs;
• Financial support for exchange activities.

A coordinating office was opened in Moscow for these purposes.

The target groups for these activities are schools, youth groups (from youth organizations and municipal youth programs), and individual young people who are interested in Russia and in meeting young Russians in their age group (e.g. in the course of voluntary work or internships). The target groups are students, trainees, young professionals, and students.

Funding will be provided until 2009 by the Robert Bosch Stiftung as start-up financing for establishing the infrastructure of the Hamburg office and to implement programs in support of specific exchange activities. These programs will focus on supporting school exchanges and language training activities.
