EU-Middle East Forum

The EU-Middle East Forum (EUMEF) brings together young experts on foreign policy and security policy from the European Union, Turkey, and North Africa. The participants work together to develop approaches to security policy challenges of the 21st century faced by the European Union and the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea likewise.

EUMEF comprises various modules: In capacity building workshops, qualifications for setting-up and managing think tanks are trained. In policy workshops, mid-level experts from politics, economy, science, and civil society discuss policy recommendations, the results are then published by the German Council on Foreign Relations as policy briefs. Selected alumni are invited to a study tour in Germany.

The project is carried out by the German Council on Foreign Relations.
